This depends on the size of your pool, swimming load, landscaping environment, and even weather conditions.
What are the prices on chemicals?
Hamlin Pools offers special pricing for delivered chemicals, cash & carry, and even discount cards for Hamlin Pool owners. It is our priority to make sure our prices are competitive.
What HP pump should I replace my old pump with?
DO NOT GO BY HP, the criteria for a pool with a single pump running the cleaning system along with the filter and possibly the heater is that you need a pump that products a minimum of 65 gpm at 80 foot of head. On a pool with a booster pump operating the cleaning system you will need 60 gpm at 65 ft of head. If the pool store does not know how to find this information then you are buying from the wrong place!
How can the water level in my pool be lowered?
Backwash the filter or fasten a garden hose to the water faucet above the pump and drain to desired level.
I’ve got algae in my pool. How do I get rid of it?
Treating algae depends on the type and amount of algae you have. Contact us for specific information and we’ll help you treat it.
How do I shut off my pool equipment?
Equipment can be shut off by using the time clock or at the electrical pump breaker box.

My pool was not built by Hamlin Pools. Can you still service it?

Does my home owner insurance cover repairs?
Generally, no. We’d recommend asking your insurance agent.
What are the little white pitted spots on my pool plaster?
These unsightly spots are referred to as spot etching. This is common in many plaster finishes along with a variety of other issues. Studies suggest that high CYA or stabilizer levels are part of the cause. Our professional recommendation is to keep CYA with in recommended levels (see “Maintaining Your Pool”) via “Auto Drains” or draining your pool and to keep the pools’ water balanced using the Saturation Index.
